Amish View Inn Reopened The Same Day It Caught Fire

Three people— including a firefighter— were injured in an early morning fire at a hotel in Lancaster County on Thursday, February 23, 2023,  but that afternoon the business had reopened, a spokesperson told Daily Voice.

Guests had used sheets to climb out of the AmishView Inn and Suites in the 3100 block of Philadelphia Pike in Leacock Township, at 2:40 a.m. fire officials say.

Tom Neely, CEO  has released the following statement about the fire:

“We are so thankful that emergency services arrived quickly with plenty of equipment and got the fire under control rapidly. We are grateful for the dedicated emergency responders and our quick-thinking team that got all the guests out safely. We have met with local officials to review the situation and building, and started repairs on the impacted area. The hotel is open with all services and amenities available as of today, February 23. We look forward to serving our wonderful guests.”

A spokesperson from AmishView told Daily Voice the company is excited about several upcoming events like the new menu at Smokehouse on March 2, The Quilt Shop at Miller’s has their 25th anniversary in June, and AmishView will celebrate its 20th anniversary in the winter on 2023.
